It was Sugar & Spice and everything nice. A heartfelt thanks
to all of the very special people and organizations who helped make the Oak Brook Chapter’s 2019 signature Holiday fundraising events – Sugar & Spice Preview Party and Mistletoe Medley Luncheon/Fashion Show – a wonderful success.

Certainly, all of the hard work paid off – with nearly 1,000 attendees over two days at the 2019 Holiday events. Leading
the way were Kathleen Sievertsen and Christa Griffith, co-chairs of the Monday night Sugar & Spice Preview Party; and Lou Smeja and Liz Berglund, Mistletoe Medley co-chairs. Nearly two dozen committee coordinators and committee members supported them.

The 2019 Sugar & Spice Monday night Preview Party was fun and festive, and included entertainment by pianist Jim Molina. Our Mistletoe Medley Luncheon/Fashion Show again provided attendees with delicious food and great company during lunch, as well as a cutting-edge fashion presentation from well-known producer Tracey Tarantino and Zzazz Productions.

The winners of the five Special $5,000 Cash Raffle prizes, generous donated by Nives and Joe Rizza, were announced at Tuesday’s Mistletoe Medley. And, in a surprise announcement, long-time supporter and inspirational philanthropist Nives Rizza presented the Oak Brook Chapter with a second $25,000 donation during the luncheon.

Guests also had the opportunity to do some shopping as they visited the 38 Holiday Showroom boutiques (including 11 new exhibitors). A long-time supporter of Mistletoe Medley, the popular Allison Rosati (NBC-5 News Anchor) again served as Honorary Chair and Master of Ceremonies.

Runway magic and fabulous fashions at 2019 Mistletoe Medley.

Master of Ceremonies Allison Rosati (NBC5 News Anchor) announced the surprise $25,000 additional donation from inspirational philanthropist Nives Rizza.

Our Chapter thanked the dozens of wonderful individuals and organizations for their generous support of the Mistletoe Medley fundraiser in the January 2020 issue of Hinsdale Living magazine.
