Helping provide the gifts of healing and medical care for children and families in need, the Oak Brook Chapter of the Auxiliary of the Infant Welfare Society (IWS) was pleased to present a check for $142,500 to Chicago’s Angel Harvey Community Health Center. The recent donation was made possible thanks to the success of the Oak Brook Chapter’s two-day holiday festivities – the 2016 Cocktails in Candyland Preview Party and the Mistletoe Medley luncheon/fashion show. The two-day event drew nearly 1,000 attendees at the Drury Lane Theatre.
As the countdown to the 2016 Holiday fund-raising events began last Fall, Oak Brook Chapter members got together to kick-off those efforts -- and took a few moments to gather for a group photo.
During the Mistletoe Medley event luncheon, Master of Ceremonies Allison Rosati (NBC-5 News Anchor) announced the winner of the $10,000 Cash Raffle prize. Winner Robin McGinnis (Center), IWS CEO, told attendees that the money will be given to the Clinic. Nives Rizza, who donated the raffle prize money, was on hand to pull the winning ticket.
