Preparations for the Oak Brook Chapter’s signature Holiday fundraising events – Célébrez la Saison Preview Party and Mistletoe Medley Luncheon/Fashion Presentation – are well underway.

Célébrez la Saison Preview Party co-chairs Barbara Benezra, Natalie Machul and Marge Tresley have added some new things for this year’s “French-themed” Monday night event (November 27, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.)

Bringing out their Inner Artist, Oak Brook Chapter members and guests got together on Sept. 19 to Paint-Eat-Drink for a special fundraiser at LaBarra Pizza. At the end of the evening, each attendee displayed her own unique Eiffel Tower painting. The fundraiser was organized by Oak Brook Chapter member Marilyn Krafthefer – and is part of the Countdown to Mistletoe Medley 2017. This event resulted in a $315 donation from attendees.
Oak Brook Chapter members (L-R) January Pawluk, Barbara Nasharr and Diane Douglas pose with one of the special prizes for this year’s Mistletoe Medley Preferred Raffle – a versatile Natural Silver Fox knit fur hooded vest from
York Furrier.
Mistletoe Medley co-chairs Linda Layland and Liz Berglund and their team are enhancing this year’s Tuesday (November 28) Luncheon/Fashion event, including having secured two (2) Special $5,000 Cash Raffle prizes, donated by Nives and Joe Rizza. Guests will have the opportunity to shop with some 40 Holiday Showroom exhibitors (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) – including new-this-year vendors such as:  Barcacaochocolat, Denim Gals, Lady Ashley Hats, and Olivia’s Posh Doggie Boutique. Guests will also enjoy delicious food and great company during lunch, and watch an exciting fashion presentation from well-known producer Tracey Tarantino and Zzazz Productions. Allison Rosati, NBC-5 News Anchor, will return as Honorary Chair and Master of Ceremonies.
Sweet surprises await guests at this festive and colorful Preview Party including hors d’oeuvres, a Crepe Station, French Martinis and Dessert Bar. Sure to be a highlight of the evening is the Holiday Boutique shopping, plus entertainment by French Chanteuse Claudia Hommel. This year’s Silent Auction and Preferred Raffle offerings include fine jewelry, dining and hotel experiences, sports and theater tickets, travel, popular electronics, toys for the younger set, spa treatments, premium “holiday spirits”, and much more.
