We held our 2nd quarterly meeting November 16th at the Woman’s Athletic Club. Dr. Jerry Isikoff, CEO, of the Infant Welfare Society, addressed the chapter, to outline the 108 year history of IWS, discuss what is currently happening at the Clinic and update the progress of becoming an FQHC Look Alike. His comments were most welcome because the Ambassador Chapter has 6 new members who have joined this year. Two guests became our newest members at the conclusion of the meeting. They are Carol Seelig and Linda Callaway. At our November meeting, we gave a standing ovation to our hostess, Kate Boege, who was recently named one of Crain’s Chicago Business 2019 Notable General Counsels. Congratulations Kate!
Eight members gathered together on December 2nd to decorate the Clinic for the See Santa Party. Three new members were among the decorators and it was a great opportunity for them to see the Clinic for the first time. The Chapter also collected coats for the Coat Drive and two members, Antje Kalov and Adrienne Weiss, were able to volunteer to give out the coats to many deserving families.
Barbara Wing, chair of the See Santa Gift Bags, hosted a bag stuffing party at her condo, where seven members assembled 30 gift bags for girls aged 9 and 10.
